A junior enterprise is a non-profit organization led entirely by students . The students offer services related to their fields of study. They get to experience unique learning opportunities through field work and on the job learning . There is also a big management side to this entrepreneurial simulation that earns the the title of leaders of tomorrow. By joining the movement the students take charge and turn their theoretical skills into practice and deeper knowledge of their disciplines, and ESEN Junior Enterprise belongs to this movement.

The Junior Entreprise is a concept based on developing students’ skills and making them practice entrepreneurship in a controlled learning environment in order to widen their professional horizons and give them a head-start in their careers .
ESSEC France students launched the initiative in 1967 by creating the first ever Junior Enterprise ; Junior ESSEC Conseil .
In 1988 before the creation of JADE , the Franco-Brazilian chambre of commerce went global with the concept by implementing it in Brazil .
Argentina , Chili and Mexico were quick to follow and opened Junior Enterprises in their major colleges and universities . A Canadian JE , the first in the country , Desautels Junior Enterprise at the McGill University was opened in 2012 . Two more have opened since in Montreal , forming the Junior Consulting Confederation of Canada (JC3) .
There is a total of 30 Junior Enterprises spread throughout the Tunisian territory united under our national confederation Junior Enterprises of Tunisia . Also in Africa , you’ll find the Morocan Confederation of Junior Enterprises and the national Cameroonian confederation Junior Enterprises of Cameroon .
Junior Enterprises worldwide gather once every two years for the Junior Enterprise World Conference (JEWC) .
Junior Entrepreneurs are also celebrated on November 22 of each year dubbed Junior Enterprise World Day (JEWD) .
JET is the Tunisian Confederation of Junior Enterprises. It is a support structure, overseeing and guiding Junior Enterprises in their work and training.
Founded in 2012 by four Junior Enterprises, JET was launched and aimed at expanding the network of Junior Entrepreneurs in Tunisia and representing them in the world.
In 2019, the JET federates 39 Junior Enterprises spread across the Tunisian territory. Their areas of expertise include engineering, business and management, design, political and legal sciences , biotechnology, agronomy and much more.
